Karma ~ a story

Here is a short summary of a real life incident that Dr. Howard Kelly faced.

A 12 year old boy ( Dr. Howard Kelly ) to pay for his studies use to do door to door sales of some house-hold articles. He had however for 2 continuous days not been able to sell anything and not eaten anything.
He knocked at a door to ask for some food. But his dignity did not permit him to do so.
Instead he asked for a glass of water when a beautiful middle-aged lady opened the door. Sensing that the boy was impoverished the lady gave him a glass of milk. The boy grew up to be a famous doctor and had his own hospital. Once a old lady in critical condition was admitted to his hospital.
He on talking to her realized that this was the same lady who had given the glass of milk to him when he knocked at her door as a 12 year old boy. But he did not tell her so. As she was in critical condition, the treatment bill was quite hefty. At the time of discharge she asked for the bill while requesting for reduced bill as she had very limited capacity to pay. To her surprise she received the bill with the following remarks "Paid in full with a glass of milk"

It is true that we get what we give. When we help the people around us, we are helping ourselves. I have a point why I put this story here.
