The Secret of Productivity
"Wake up with determination,
Go to bed with satisfaction."
Easy right? no, there is much more to productivity than you think, it is not just what you do with time but how you run your mind during that particular amount of time.
It is rightly said by Paul J. Meyer:
Productivity is never an accident. It is always a result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.
Being productive means setting goals for yourself, higher every time, every time you reach your goal, and when you do that your self-esteem rockets. This causes you to keep challenging yourself. Striving towards overcoming those obstacles that you set for yourself gives you energy, focus, and conviction.
You'll do more with the time you have. There certainly aren't enough hours in a day to meet up with all the things we wish to do and all our demands. Being productive gives us a chance to find time, the time that we thought never existed. This allows us to do more in lesser time. But is it just that to "do more", is that being productive?
Yes, only if the "more" that you have begun doing is important, makes you feel free and warm, makes you happy, then it's worth spending your time. Writing Blog Posts makes me smile, I consider this to be a productive use of my time. What about you? I would love to know!
Want to start being more productive? Here are some tips:
- Keeping To-Do Lists will keep you moving forward, and committing to them help you Finish doing the important things that you might forget doing.
- Checklists really help to track your progress and your journey to productivity.
- Reminders and calendars keep you on schedule.
And finally:
The key is not to prioritize whats on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities
~ Stephan R. Covey
